Has anybody created the 2000 Canadian election here yet, or is anybody working on one?

It would be fairly simple to do, given that the data is still fresh on most sites. If nobody is working on it, then I will certainly do so.

Anybody else working on some new scenarios for PM Forever?

I am working on Alberta - 2001. A 2000 scenario is a great idea. With five significant parties will you just combine the Bloc and the Progressive Conservatives?

An Alberta scenario would be great. I'd like to work on BC - 2001 and, perhaps, Nova Scotia - 2003, but I don't know where I can go to get the highly detailed maps of the provinces that I can use. Do you know of a site where I could find some?

Regarding the 2000 scenario...yeah, that would be an issue, regarding there being 5 main parties. What I'm thinking of doing is either:

a) just eliminating the BQ entirely(it's a dumb party anyway ;-) )

b) amalgamating the candidates of the PC and CA into the Conservative Party like what's going on right now.

Either one wouldn't be 100% realistic, but unless the game maker can figure out how to give us the option of creating more than 4 parties, there's little we can do.

Regarding the 2000 federal election scenario, I'm think eliminating the BQ would be wholly unrealistic. They may be a "dumb" party (not my personal opinion :) ) that can not possibly form a government, but their presence does affect the national results. What about combining the Liberal and NDP parties into one so the BQ and the two Conservative parties are retained?

Kudos to whoever created the Quebec 2003 scenario. Anyone thinking of creating an Ontario 2003 scenario? Results for the Ontario provincial ridings can be obtained at http://www.cbc.ca/ontariovotes/ridings. If no one is, I might create it if I can find relevant provincial riding information beyond the website I just mentioned.

Great game folks.

The Quebec 2003 scenario was okay, but the divisions of Quebec's names are incorrect, and there's no way to access "Gaspesie", plus there are some spelling errors.

And in the 2000 scenario, it would be very unrealistic to combine the Liberals and NDP, since the Liberals had a very different 2000 platform than the NDP did.

I don't actually think it's possible to create the scenario, since all the parties had very distinct platforms.

Being a non-canadian I may sound very stupid but, DON'T TAKE THE BLOC! The BLOC ROCKS!

Anyway, I also enjoyed Quebec (won as the BQ BIG TIME though I don't remember the numbers) but I noticed the gaspeie thing too. Didin't matter though, I seeped it! ;)
