Guys, I know some of you are anxious about this, however, you need to cool down. I'm working with a state rep here in Michigan that wants to run for a seat in the US House next year. However, he's got about 3 other state reps that he has to beat out in the Republican primary. And all their campaigns are dependent upon the current House member, Candice Miller, vacating her seat to run for Senate or Governor.

Michigan doesn't hold their state primaries until August of that year. I don't know about other states, but it seems you'll have to wait until at least August '06 for all the candidates to be set. And it seems like 80soft doesn't release their games until all their candidates are set. So chill.

Sorry about the mix-up.

It would appear that I have misinterpreted the log.

What concerns me is that, if he is who he says he is, why does he still exist? Surely he would have ceased to exist some time in November?

Congress Forever had better ship with a scenario editor, so we can quickly gerrymander our way to victory!

Accept Democrats gerrymander just as bad as Republicans do. See New York, Texas last decade, Maryland, and Illinois.

There were 54 Freshmen in the 108th Congress and 42 in the 109th Congress. To say that Congress is entrenched with all long tenancy Members is a falacy. The average Congression time served by a Congressman is a little over six years (three terms). There are people that serve for extraordinary terms but they are the exception not the rule.

The fact is that the vast majority of those young people come into replace congressmen and women who have retired. What I, and most others, where commenting on is the astounding inability of an incumbent to lose, not matter how incompetent they may seem. How many lost this year? If you don’t count Texas, a grand total of 4. Out of 435, that’s not a very good number.
